One of the first methods of natural healing is sound. It is given to treat both the mind and the body. This is done by employing music or sounds to treat physical and mental health and promote overall wellbeing. The idea behind this form of therapy is that the sounds produced from instruments (or voice) create vibrations that activate the parasympathetic nervous system in the body. This systemic activation helps to reduce stress and relieve areas of built-up tension, blockage and discomfort. Most people spend their entire day with their sympathetic nervous system reacting as if the body is in a “fight or flight” situation. It has been proven that over time, this can lead to serious health issues. Sound therapy has the potential to bring the body back into homeostasis, a state of steady internal, physical, and chemical conditions maintained by all living systems, and reducing the effects of this response on the body.

Many people report feeling rested, relaxed and restored, both physically and mentally, after experiencing just one session.
